Ohio Families

Note: a descendant says that Mary's mother died in 1868. see: https://irishamericantraveler.com/genealogy-help-from-australia/
Since I have two sources that say Mary was born in 1869, I am leaving that year as her birth year, at least for now. I haven't seen a birth record for Mary.

Mary's Social Security application says she was born in "Monadarrow D, Republic of Ireland." Since she said in 1891 that she was born in County Down, then she wasn't born in the Republic. The location could easily be Moneydarragh/Moneydorragh, a townland 2km NW of Annalong, Kilkeel Parish.

When she and her family emigrated and provided the information for the ship manifest, they said they were headed to a cousin James Cunningham in Washington. Family information says this was Mary's cousin, not her husband's.

There is a James Cunningham living in Bellingham, Washington, in 1910 with a niece Annie Cunningham in the household. Annie and her brother George arrived October 5, 1905, headed for their uncle James' home. There is an Annie and George Cunningham living in Mullarton/Mullartown Townland, Kilkeel in 1901. Mullartown is next to Moneydorragh.
