Sarah H Farron
Birth Name | Sarah H Farron |
Gender | female |
Age at Death | 84 years, 9 months |
Narrative
I have included the Sarah H Farron who married Michael Farron in Cleveland on June 4, 1890, and who died February 18, 1951 in Macedonia, Summit County, Ohio, as a daughter in this family for these reasons:
1. Sarah's first child, Catherine, was born April 22, 1891, in Drumsesk, Kilbroney, even though Sarah and Michael were married and living in Cleveland at the time.
2. According to the Valuation Revision Books, the only Fearon in Drumsesk at the time was William Fearon who was renting a house, but no land.
3. The informant for Catherine's birth was a Catherine Fearon of Drumsesk. This could be Sarah's sister Catherine.
4. William Fearon stopped renting the house in Drumsesk by 1892.
5. On January 20, 1896, William Fearon, a shepherd, died in Rostrevor. The informant was his daughter Annie.
6. In 1901, there is an Annie Fearon living in Rostrevor with her brother James, who is also a shepherd. This is probably the same Annie, daughter of William, and they had moved to Rostrevor by the time of William's death. James took over the shepherding.
7. The civil birth records for William and Catherine's sons Patrick (1867) and Peter (1869) say that William was a shepherd, living in Newtown.
8. There is a baptism record for a Sarah, daughter of William Fearon and Catherine Traynor, on May 19, 1863, in the Kilbroney Church Registers. In 1900, Sarah Farron of Cleveland, Michael's wife, said she was born in May in the year 1866. Her death record, with her son William Patrick as informant, said she was born on May 18, 1866. In 1930 and 1940, Sarah's US Census information implies that she was born in 1863. People didn't always know exactly how old they were, but I think they would be more likely to get the month right than the year.
