Joseph Klotz
Birth Name | Joseph Klotz |
Gender | male |
Age at Death | 74 years, 11 months, 4 days |
Narrative
So far, I haven't been able to tell where Joseph Klotz was from, besides somewhere in Galicia. I suspect he is from the same town as his wife Mary Ann, or nearby, since I also suspect they married in Poland just before coming to the US. I didn't find a marriage record in Lawrence. The Massachusetts records for that time period are online and are usually pretty complete.
I used the American spelling of their names in the family tree. My best guess for the Polish spelling of his name is Klacza or Klaca since it showed up that way on some early records.
Looking for their arrival in the 1901 to 1903 timeframe, I have searched ellis island using stevemorse.org for 1900, 1901, 1902, 1903 for
Mar* Kla* or Mar* Klo*
Jos* Kla* or Jos* Klo*
with no ship name
And searched ellis island using stevemorse.org for 1900, 1901, 1902 for
Mar* Kow* and Mar* Kov*
with no ship name
