Narrative
There is a naturalization record in Cuyahoga County that is probably Martin's. It says he arrived in the United States from Bohemia in May of 1867, and was naturalized on October 8, 1874. His declaration of intent to become a citizen is in Volume 3, page 309 of the Delarations of Alien Minors, and his naturalization is in Volume 8, page 370 of the Naturalization Books. A Michael Palacek from Cuyahoga County was naturalized on the same date.
But the naturalization information for that time period did not include the home town of the immigrant, only the country.
