ROBERT M. 'BOB' STOREY
HOWLAND - Robert M. “Bob” Storey, 83, died Monday, Jan. 17, 2011, at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital from complications due to a stroke.
The son of Richard and Annamae (Cushing) Storey he was born Sept. 30, 1927, in Cleveland.
Bob was a ‘45 Graduate of St. Ignatius High School and a ’52 Graduate of JCU with a BS in Physics.
He retired as the Co-Owner with his wife of Omega Induction on South Street in downtown Warren after 22 years. Bob previously worked at Ajax Magnathermic as an Electric Engineer for 13 years. He was a member of the Cortland Conservation Club, a volunteer at St. Joseph Hospital, enjoyed sailing, traveling, playing cards (especially Bridge), reading, dogs and being with his grandchildren. He belonged to S.S. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church. Bob was a World War II Navy Aviator.
He leaves behind his wife, Susan “Sue” (DeMitchell) Storey, whom he married Sept. 9, 1950; children, Robert E. Storey of Orlando, Fla., Dr. Diane (James) Storey of Blumenthal-Key Largo, Fla., Patricia “Patty” (James) Gumina-Long Island, N.Y. and Peggy Sinkovich-Howland; grandchildren Megan (David) Workley, Richard and Jacqueline Diaz, Robert Sinkovich, Shana, Rob (Nicole) and Julie Storey; and great-grandchildren Natalie and Brennan.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Richard Storey; and two sisters, Margaret Storey and Susan Looney.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, at S.S. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church with Fr. Andrew DesKevich officiating preceded by a 9:30 a.m. service at the Peter Rossi & Son.
Friends may call Thursday, Jan. 20, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Road NE, Warren, OH 44483 with a Panachida service at 3:45 p.m.
Mr. Storey will be buried at All Souls Cemetery with full Military Honors.
