William Hughes, 30, single, a lay evangelist [superscription OM], can read and write, born in England, English, last permanent residence: Montreal, Canada, contact in country from whence he came: mother, Helen Wright, Bueldwis [Buildwas], England, had not been in Canada before, is carrying $250, had not been in the US before, destination: New York, New York, but no specific address, good health, no physical defects, 5'4 1/2", dark complexion, brown hair, brown eyes, 140 lbs, born in Bridge North, England, landed in Canada April 10, 1910, or just April 1910, at St John, on the Emp of Ireland, examined November 18.
