Jacqueline "Jackie" (Stevens) Knowlton

LEVANT - Jacqueline "Jackie" (Stevens) Knowlton, 76, passed away peacefully Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at a Bangor hospital with her loving daughter, Gail and son, Greg at her side. She was born Nov. 13, 1937, the daughter of Wallace and Ada (Lougee) Stevens.

Jackie went to various schools and graduated from Hermon High School. She worked at several shoe shops in the Bangor area. Jackie worked at Dysarts truck stop for thirty-three years where she made many friends and was loved and admired by all who sat at her tables or just passed through her area. She loved her "ole black" cat, Boo and granddog, Maxx.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister and a brother. She is survived by a daughter, Gail Grondin and her husband, Rick; granddaughter, Heather, whom she loved very much and, a great-granddaughter, Miss Alyssa, who was the apple of her eye, all of Levant; a son, Greg and his girlfriend, Sandy of New Hampshire; daughter-in-law, always and forever, Rhonda Perry of Laconia, NH.

Jackie also leaves behind her best friends Jane Sherry of Stetson and Stanley Bowen of Hermon. Jackie wishes her family and friends to remember her by living their lives with much love and laughter.

Her family wants to thank those involved for the wonderful care she received from the doctors and staff at EMMC and NECA. She also had wonderful care from SJH, Acadia Foot and Ankle, and Vascular & Eye Care.
