HANKARD, Francis R. Of Weymouth, passed away at his home August 13, 2012 surrounded by his loving family.

He was 89 years old. Francis was a 2nd Lt. in the Army during W.W.II serving in the Field Artillery C.C.S. at Fort Sill,Ok. & Fort Dix,N.J. Francis was a graduate of Boston Latin H.S., B.S. at Northeastern U. & Masters in Chemistry at Boston U. He retired after 40 years as Lab Chief Dep't. of Public Safety with the Mass. State Police. Francis also taught Physics, Criminalistics, Fire & Arson at Northeastern University for over 50 years.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the McDonald Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hosp.) Relatives & friends invited to a graveside service on Friday at 12 PM in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
