Anne Paige
Orland: Anne Paige, 79, died at her residence in Orland, Jan 11, 1984. She was the wife of the late Augustus (Zeke) Paige. She was born in Bucksport, Dec 16, 1904, the daughter of Frank and Josephine (Delano) McAlister.

She began her painting with Frank Hamabe of Blue Hill. She attended Haystack Art School, studying graphics with Emil Woodidge, pottery with Victor Spinski, sculpture in clay and iron with George Greenermeyer. While at the Univ. of Maine she studied with Mike Lewis. Last year at the Farnsworth she studied with Bill Greet.

She had shown paintings and sculptures with the Bangor Art Society, juried shows, The Paint Box, O'Connor Cottage on Mohegan Island, University of Maine, Squaw Mountain Gallery, Talent Tree, Thomas College, Depositors Trust in Bangor and Bucksport, ant at Bangor Airport.

Each August she studied with All Nazzarino of New York, who conducted summer workshops in Maine. Anne maintained a studio in Orland.

She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Bucksport. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Barbara) Deega of Ridgefield, Conn; and one niece, Janet Wood of Suffield, Conn. A Memorial Mass was held 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with James Gower celebrant.

Donations may be made in her memory to the Western Hancock County Hospice, care of Dr. Mariam Devlin, Bucksport Regional Health Center, Broadway Extension, Bucksport, Maine 04416
