William Walsh, at 77; retired school janitor
STOUGHTON -- Funeral services were held today for William A Walsh, 77, who died Sunday evening in the Goddard Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of the late Lillian M (Paige) Walsh.
Born and educated in Boston, he was a retired custodian for the Boston schools and a member of the Boston School Custodian's Association. After his retirement he worked as a custodian at Milton Academy and as a guard for a security service.
He is survived by a daughter Marie Hebert of Stoughton, five grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; a sister Alice Rizzo of York, Maine, and a brother,Edward J Walsh of Jamaica Plain. He was also the brother of the late George Walsh.
The funeral was from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St, with a funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church. Burial was in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
