Narrative
There are listings for Charles V. Page in the Bangor City Directories
for unspecified years between 1882 and 1892 at the ancestry.com
website. (They did not identify the years.) They are as follows:
Page, Charles V. b. 5 Fruit, Laborer
Page, Charles V., 15 Exchange, b. 5 Fruit, hairdresser.
Page, Charles V., 13 1/2 Exchange, b. 5 Fruit, hairdresser.
The addresses on Exchange Street were his business addresses. 5 Fruit

living in the same house as his parents.
Charles was a barber in Bangor and Brewer, Maine, from at least 1892
until his death in 1928.

Charles V. Page for 35 years one of Brewer's best known barbers and an ex-chief engineer of the fire department died at his home here late Sunday night after a very short illness, aged 61 years. Mr. Page Is survived by his wife Mrs. Lettie Page and one daughter Mrs. Doris Fickett of New York City; also two brothers Oscar Page of Boston and Percy J. Page of Bangor. Many friends will tender sympathy to the family. Mr. Page came to Brewer over a third of a century ago and opened a barber shop. For years a call man in the Fire department he finally rose to the position of chief and was well known by a very wide circle of friends. He started from his home Sunday morning after having felt rather poorly for several days, to attend service in St Joseph's Catholic Church. He was taken so ill on the way that he was forced to return home and a doctor was called to attend him. In the evening he was taken with another ill turn and died as above stated. Mr. Page was a native of Bangor. The funeral will be held In St. Joseph's Catholic Church at Holyoke and North Main streets, Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock.
