        1739, Dec 8. Son Stephen chose his uncle John Smith for guardian, and at
        this date Deborah had married John Knox.

        His sons Stephen and Joseph lived in Cumberland died 13 Feb. 1750,
        administration being given to his brother Stephen, who died 19 May 1750.
