I did not find the Lambs on the Iowa Censuses for the 1840's at ancestry.com.
A David Lamb was a teacher in one of the two schools in Croyle Township in 1861 at the time of a superintendent's visit. He may be the David, head of this family, who was a farmer in Croyle Township in 1860 and 1870. (Henry Wilson Storey, History of Cambria County Pennsylvania with Genealogical Memoirs Illustrated, Volume II, New York & Chicago: The Lewis Publishing Company, 1907, p. 414.)
I have not found David or Mary Ann (Kern) Lamb on the 1880 census. There are no obituaries listed for them in the obituary index of Cambria County for them or for their son David.
