This could easily be Charles. He said he met his first wife, Mildred Keiser, in Jamestown, NY. They were married in 1927. City Directories usually reflect the state of things in the previous year.
1928 Jamestown NY City Directory At the same address was Melvin H Kent, described as the president of Jamestown Tire Service Corp. In 1920 he was on the census as a merchant at a retail rubber tire store, working on his own account. His wife's maiden name was Elvina "Vina" Hamilton, but her family does not appear to be a close relation to Charles'. Her father, Samuel Leroy Hamilton, was born in New York about 1855 and his father Joseph Hamilton was born in Cortland County, NY about 1823. |
