(unknown newspaper) John O'Rourke is Buried from Saint James Cathedral Final rites for John O'Rourke, 73-year old member of St. Francis' parish at Seahurst, were held Saturday at St. James' Cathedral. ... graveside services at Calvary. ... passed away at his home at Lake Burien Tuesday, Feb. 5, following an illness of six weeks' duration. Born in Ireland on February 6, 1862, ... spent his boyhood in the Couty Down. ... went to England when a young man and after spending a number of years in Liverpool, he brought his family to the United States in 1907 and settled in Bellingham where he lived for a quarter of a century. In 1932, Mr and Mrs O'Rourke moved to Seattle. ... a staunch Catholic ... helped make possible the erection of the Assumption Church in Bellingham.
