Sarasota Herald-Tribune (FL) - June 12, 1999 He was born Dec. 22, 1932, in Cleveland and came to Port Charlotte six years ago from there. He served in the Marines and in the Navy. He was a retired conductor for Conrail Railroad in Ohio. He was president of Venice Amputee Support Group and was a member of the American Legion and the Retired Railroaders Association. Survivors include his stepmother, Sarah Hunter; a daughter, Lisa of Los Angeles; a son, Ricardo of Sandusky, Ohio; two sisters, Helen Smith and Joan Cooper, both of Ohio; two brothers, Patrick Hunter and Travis Hunter, both of Ohio; and a dear friend, Gloria Humberston. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Kays-Ponger/Royal Palm Funeral Home, Port Charlotte Chapel. National Cremation Society, Port Charlotte chapter, is in charge. Memorial contributions may be made to the Venice Amputee Support Group of Bon Secours, 1201 Jacaranda Blvd., Venice, FL 34292.
