their 1841 Census said Alexander and Susan (Lang/Long) McShinnon were born in 1796, but I am choosing the 1851 and 1871 information to estimate their birth years because of the birth year of Susan's youngest child on the censuses, Alexander, whom the censuses say was born between 1831 and 1833.
