Narrative
Information on rootsweb.com says that Rebecca died 26 Apr 1908 and is
also buried in Five Islands Presbyterian Cemetery. They also say that
her father was James Robert McCallum, who was born about 1796, died in
Five Islands 17 Apr 1839, and is buried in Five Islands Presbyterian
Cemetery.
Rebecca's mother is said to be Rebecca Fulmor, daughter of Mary
Morrison and Andreas Johann Fulmor, who is said to be the son of a man
called Phillip Andreas Vollmar who came to Nova Scotia from the
Palatinate section of Germany in 1851.
There is a Daniel McCallum from Massachusetts who received a land
grant at Truro in 1759. I don't know if he is a relative.
