Event Note
In 1901 Maurice's census information said he had been born about 1814 in Co Clare. A researcher in the IGP Co Clare Facebook group said: "Interestingly, in the 1911 census Williams father and grandfather say their birthplace is Tipperary as opposed to 1901 where they say Clare. I see this quite a lot, I’m not entirely sure why it happened so often. Generally though, their true birthplace is recorded in the 1911 census." |
