Event Note

In 1901 Maurice's census information said he had been born about 1814 in Co Clare.
In 1911 his information said he had been born about 1827 in Co Tipparary.
His death record in 1913 said he was 74, or born in 1839.

A researcher in the IGP Co Clare Facebook group said: "Interestingly, in the 1911 census Williams father and grandfather say their birthplace is Tipperary as opposed to 1901 where they say Clare. I see this quite a lot, I’m not entirely sure why it happened so often. Generally though, their true birthplace is recorded in the 1911 census."
