Birth about 1856 Ireland see notes 1a
Event Note

In 1901 James' information said he had been born in Co Clare. In 1911 he said Co Tipperary. A researcher at the IGP Co Clare Genealogy group on Facebook said: "Interestingly, in the 1911 census Williams father and grandfather say their birthplace is Tipperary as opposed to 1901 where they say Clare. I see this quite a lot, I’m not entirely sure why it happened so often. Generally though, their true birthplace is recorded in the 1911 census."
