Narrative
Many of the births and deaths for the early Boldts and Ahrens families come from a book called a Christliches Vergißmeinnicht (Christian Forget-me-not). William Watkins, the source of much of the information for these families, called it the Ahrens Birthday Book, and says:
"This small book, printed in German, was presented to Heinrich A, Ahrens, on his confirmation, January 6th 1898, by Pastor H. Eppens, of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, which was at the corner of Scovill and Woodland Aves., Cleveland. It was among the possessions of Minnie Ahrens Brooksat the time of her death in 1954, and, although it belonged originally to Henry Ahrens, most of the entries were apparently made by his sister Lena Ahrens Long (Hill/Perrin). Presumably she later gave it to Minnie."
The book was in the possession of William Watkins in April 2012 when he did his research.
