Narrative

The indexed information from the death record for William's daughter Mary, who died in Brecksville, Ohio, in 1881, said that she had been born in Finod, Sligo, Ireland.

A search at Google in October 2013 gave:
Finod, Mail Coach Rd, Sligo, Ireland, which is south of Sligo Abbey on R287, just north of its junction with R870;
and
Finod House, Easky, Co. Sligo, Ireland, which is west of Killeenduff, just off of R297 just before it turns south along the coast.

I think the second one is more likely in the area of the home of the Bolands. William Boland's father in law was named Francis Dowd. Searching Griffith's Valuation at http://www.askaboutireland.ie/, there is a Patrick Boland and a Francis Dowd both in Cooga Townland, Easky Parish, West Dromore Union, Barony of Tireragh, Co. Sligo. Griffith's Valuation was completed in Sligo on 7 July 1858 (source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Griffith%27s_Valuation).

Searching the Tithe Applotment Books at http://titheapplotmentbooks.nationalarchives.ie, there is a
Patt Boland in Finod Townland, Easky, Sligo, in 1833, and a Charles Doud in Finod Townland, Easky, Sligo, in 1833. These records are from 25 years or so before Griffith's Valuation, so Charles could be Francis Dowd's father.

I don't think Finod and Cooga are exactly the same place. Either they overlap or Finod was a section of Cooga Townland. The name Finod seems to have almost disappeared as a location, but Cooga is still around.
