Sarah Jacobs

Birth Name Sarah Jacobs
Gender female
Age at Death 62 years, 3 months, 20 days

Narrative

I am guessing that this woman's birth name was Sarah Jacobs and her stage name was Lillie Birchfield. The records go back and forth on her names. "Sarah Jacobs" is the name on her daughter Eva's death record (Mar 14, 1936, Chicago). "Lillie Birchfield" is on her marriage record. The 1920 census called her Sarah Carroll and the 1930 census said Lillie Carroll.

Her 1920 census information says her parents were both born in Germany. It says she arrived in 1892 but was naturalized in 1876. Did she misunderstand the second question and give her birth year instead?

Event Note

Her death record and that of her daughter both said Sarah was born in London, England. The informant on hers was her son in law, Arthur Meador, presumably the informant for his wife's also.
