That Thomas may have had a brother Daniel, who was on parcel 17 in Griffith's Valuation (1863), leasing from Samuel Walmsley. That parcel passed into the hands of Owen Rourke in 1867 and then Francis Rourke in 1869.

----------------
Ros Davies' Co. Down website says:
1) that Daniel was a sponsor at the baptism of William Savage, son of James Savage & Ann Sands 15 Mar 1857 at Catholic Church. If so, maybe Ann was Daniel's sister.

2) that another of the Savages' children, Ann, baptized Apr 1851, was sponsored by a Margaret Sands. So Daniel might have had a sister Margaret. Daniel is said to have named a daughter Margaret.

3) that when James Savage and Ann Sands were married on 4 Nov 1839 or 1849 (one of the records must be mis-copied), one of the witnesses was a Thomas Sands. So Daniel might have had a brother Thomas. Daniel did name a son Thomas.

4) that there were men named Patrick and Phelimy SANDYS, both Catholic; & resident in Kilbroney parish in 1766.
