A letter from Brennen Brown:

Dear Granny,

We are all very sad that you have left us, and we all loved, and still love you for now and forever. You started as a young girl, loving to read. You lost your mother at the age of twelve, and it was a hard experience for you. You married Gustus Luckett on July 23, 1941. You healed and helped many soldiers fighting in World War 2 while you were positioned in a military hospital. When you had any extra time from work, you would kindly volunteer for the elderly and disabled. In doing so, you won many awards as well as the hearts of many Americans. You also gave birth to four children, who will always remember you. We hope that you will never forget us. Now, you can be with your husband, your mother, your father, and all your ancesters. We are weeping at the fact that you have left us, but if you could choose you would probably stay. We will take great care of Kay, and we want you to know that we all still love you. Love, Brennen, Stacey, Georgia, Rhody, Cile, Michael, Kay, Rob, Tori, Grace, Claire, Kara, Andrew, Leslie, Austin.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Anne Catholic Church Outreach Program, 2000 Kay Circle, Columbus, GA 31907.
