Narrative
Alexander Craig is the fifth listed child of Samuel Craig, Junior, and Elizabeth Shields, in Jane Maria Craig, Samuel Craig, Senior, Pioneer to Western Pennsylvania, and his Descendants, (Greensburg, PA: unknown, 1915), pages 63 to 65. He lived near Hillside, Pennsylvania.
He married first his half-cousin, Rebecca Moorhead, and had three daughters: Elizabeth (1828-1878) who was single in 1870 and evidently did not marry; Nancy, who married James Graham and who lived in Vermont; and Rebecca Jane (1835-1907) who married David Harbison, the pastor of the Presbyterian church at Ligonier, Pa. His first wife died on 3 Feb 1835.
