his petition for naturalization said he emigrated from Glasgow, Scotland, on or about June 17, 1905, and arrived at New York on or about June 25, 1905 aboard the Caladonia

This could be Edward. The age and neighborhood match. In 1930 he said he was an engineer for a chemical company, which sounds similar to this description.
