Catherine was said to be of the County of Monaghan, in Ireland, on Jan 4, 1865, when her son Dennis was married to May McCarthy in St. Patrick's Basilica, Montreal. Her husband was deceased. Did the wording imply that he was from Co. Monaghan as well?
The wording of her son John's marriage on Aug 7, 1867 (Notre Dame Basilica) is clearer. Both parents were deceased, both were of Co. Monaghan.
