Mary T Nolan

Birth Name Mary T Nolan
Gender female
Age at Death unknown

Narrative

In May 1899 a Mary Nolan arrived in Boston. Her destination was her cousin, Annie Long, at 121 121 North Common St, Lynn. In 1900 Annie was at that address as a servant in the household of Henry J George, a female. Annie was still working for Josephine George in Nahant in 1930.

In 1903 a Honora (Nora) Kane arrived in Boston. Her destination was her brother Michael, c/o J. St. George, Lynn, MA. I believe that Mary Nolan's future husband, Michael Keane, was working for the same family as Annie Long for a while.

The Mary Nolan who arrived in May 1899 said her previous residence was Cloonedarone, as it was spelled on the manifest. That may refer to Clonaddadoran, Co. Laois. The names Nolan and Tilly only occur together on Griffith's Valuation of Ireland in Belfast, Dublin, and Co. Laois. A search at rootsireland.ie might turn up a record for Mary and/or for other children born to that couple. It is a pay per view or subscription site.
