Josef/Joseph arrived in the US for the first time on Feb 24, 1905, aboard the ship Vaderland which had left from Antwerp. He was 16, single, his last residence was Kerndorf, Austria, and his destination was his brother Franz Schleimer's home at 87 Trenton? St., Cleveland. He is line 4 on the manifest, linked here:

Joseph's WWI Draft Registration said that he was living at 2337 E. 74th st and was working as a bartender. He was born in Gottchee Austria on Apr 16, 1888, and was now a citizen of the US. He was married and also claimed an exemption for supporting his father in law.

Joseph was a witness to the naturalization of his brother in law Frank Koenig on Nov 17, 1921 in Common Pleas Court in Cleveland. Also to the naturalization of a Joseph Eppich on Sep 29, 1921 in the same court. He was living at 2337 E. 74th at the time.
