Narrative

Why Thomas is included as a son of Hugh Donahue:

Posts on the Indiana County message board at rootsweb.com say that the parents of Thomas Donahue who married Mary Ellen Bolewine were Hugh Donahue and Susan Kelly. For example:
"Thomas's father was Hugh Donahue b.abt 1789, d.7/13/1862.emigrated from N. Ireland in 1818. m. Susan Kelly . Hugh became a citizen in 1838. occ. farmer," at
http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.pennsylvania.counties.indiana/2114.2.1.1/mb.ashx

Thomas is on the same page of the 1850 census as Hugh and Susan Donahue.

There is a DNA match between a descendant of Rosanna (Donahue) Gunning and a descendant of Thomas.

I corresponded with a descendant of Thomas in 2016. I'm pretty sure she had other good reasons to count Thomas as Hugh's son.
