Narrative

Why Rosanna is included as a daughter of Hugh and Susan Donahue.

Her son James' death record (Oct 19, 1919, Cincinnati, Ohio) says her maiden name was Donahue.

Rosanna (Donahue) Gunning's death notice says she was born about 1823 in Strongstown, Indiana County, Pennsylvania. Hugh and Susan Donahue were in Strongstown P.O. in 1860. There is a DNA match between a descendant of Rosanna and a descendant of Thomas Donahue, who is included in this tree as a son of Hugh.

Her son Thomas Gunning is living with Barney Donahue in Pine Township, PA, in 1870. Barney has his mother Susan in his household, and is listed immediately after Thomas.
